September 2016: An interview with John our new Project Manager, who joined the team earlier this year.

John, welcome to LOOKOUT!, how have your first few months being in the business?

“it has absolutely flown by! I joined in the summer and I can’t believe we are only a few weeks away from our Christmas party! In all seriousness, it has been really enjoyable, all of the team have been really welcoming, though I am looking forward to when the next person joins to take over from brew duties!”

What is your role in the business?

“I am responsible for overseeing all projects and will also be working closely with Eugene on the account management side. So my role essentially starts at the brief stage, working with the Strategic Consultants and Researchers to scope out projects from a timing, cost and risk perspective. And once we have won the contract, I am responsible for overseeing the project, ensuring that the research team deliver against the project plan and keeping in close contact with the client”

What attracted you to applying for the LOOKOUT! role?

“I read the job advert on LinkedIn, and then when I clicked through to the website, I was really drawn in and was impressed with what the business stands for, and its approach to work. And then having met Eugene at my first interview, I was really impressed by what he said and his vision for the business, and it felt that the management team I would be joining would be progressive and agile, as we finish year one of our three-year plan to more than double the size of the agency”

What are your objectives for the next 12 months?

“My overarching objective is to ensure that our clients get great work, delivered on time and within budget. But my personal objectives are focused on a number of KPI’s around client management and ensuring that we continue to be efficient and effective, whilst delivering amazing work for our clients”

Thanks John, we wish you all the best
